'Tools of Titans' by Tim Ferris - book review [video]

I have finally finished reading the entire 'Tools of Titans' book by Tim Ferris (all 700+ pages of it) and I wanted to share a short book review on why it's an awesome book and you should get yourself a copy.

And even if you don't want to read the entire book, it's also a perfect "coffee table book".

It is something that you can pick up now and then to read a few pages here and there.

Even by just doing that, you will learn a ton of tips and advice from "world-class performers" across various industries that the author has interviewed on his immensely popular podcast, 'The Tim Ferris Show'.

You can watch the video below...:

...or read the transcripts instead.

I've done it. Finally, done it. I have finished this behemoth of a book, 'Tools of Titans' by Tim Ferriss. Look at the size of this book. It just…it's almost 700 pages and it just [phew] so much reading.

It took me, maybe just over a year? Because I just read it as a few pages at a time and I'm so glad I've done it because I wanted to read it page by page.

But also I wanted to learn from it, and my God, there are so many things you can learn from this book. And I would make notes. Normally I like to make notes on the book that I read and so that can get back to it and learn it.

But there are too many things that you can learn from this book. It's such a big book, but also I have to say it's actually a great, great book as well and I do recommend it. I think you should get it.

Let me go over briefly on what I've got from it and why you should get your own copy as well.

Now you might be put off by the size of the book and I don't blame you it is a big book and it might take you forever to finish it. But one of the good thing about this book is that it's like a "coffee table book" as well, where you can get to pick up, just pick a random page and read that page, a few pages and you get a lot from just doing that alone.

You don't have to read every single page like I've done because it can be overwhelming. But even just picking up a random page, you pick up the new tip just instantly like that from all the people that Tim had interviewed.

And it's a great example of how he has repurpose his popular podcast, 'The Tim Ferriss Show and he repurposed it into a book.

And it's a good thing because his podcasts are quite long, sometimes. Maybe too long for me cause they tend to last over an hour and I don't always listen to that length of time for a podcast.

So putting in this book, it's a great way to make it kind of just easy to digest, easy to read, easy to just scan through and pick out the best pieces from different people, different people he interviewed as well.

So if you like his podcast but you don't sit through all of it, you can get that book. If you just want to have a quick scan or something on your coffee table and pick up now, then you can get this book.

Whatever it is you want to do, you want to learn habits and routines and pick up some tips from these people who are called "world-class performers" in whatever they do.

Their business, maybe they are…the sports performance. Maybe they are kind of actors or actresses, maybe they work in military or they are coaches or they are in the medical industry.

Literally anybody who is considered to be world-class performers in different industries.

So, it's such a big book and I really really enjoyed it. I'm not going to…I did really enjoy the book despite the size of it, despite it took me so long to get through it.

But that's the whole point just a little at a time and you get a lot out of it and also it's something that will last for a long time, if you know, timeless because there's nothing in there that will say like, "Oh, it will not work next year".

The majority of the stuff in there were applied to a lot of people for a long time.

So that's kind of about it really, because I do want to give you some tips and advice from different people, but there are too many because there are hundreds of different tips and advice and routines and stuff you can learn from.

And I didn't make any notes because it will have come out way too much. But I do like to pick up now and again and scan through it and read it.

And that works to me. It might not work for you. You might want to make notes on those particular points. That's fine.

But either way, whatever way you want to read this book, get your own copy. It's such an awesome book and I think you would really like it as well.

That's it for today. Let me know what you think. Are you going to get yourself a copy or not? If you read it, let me know what you think about it as well.

In the meantime though, I will speak to you again soon.

Take care.
